Getting here

The Museum is situated in Ferrara historical centre, in the South-East quarter of the town, about 600 mt from the Church of Saint George and 1 km from the Este Castle and the Cathedral.

By Train:
Ferrara has good rail connections from Bologna and Venice. The museum is about 30 minutes walk and 10 minutes by bus (bus n. 2, every 20 min.) from the Railway Station (2,7 km.).

By Car:
Motorway A13 Bologna-Padova, exit Ferrara Sud. Take the junction to Porto Garibaldi, exit Ferrara, go straight at the first roundabout, then at the second one take the second exit and cross the river. Go straight at the traffic-lights, keep the left and take the parallel street (via Porta Romana), then turn to the second street on the left (via XX Settembre). Parking spaces are along via XX Settembre and Porta d’Amore (first on the left from XX Settembre). There’s a little parking – Bagni Ducali - along Viale Alfonso I d’Este, 350 mt. from the Museum. Another parking is situated in via Ravenna, by the Church of Saint George (600 mt. SE of the Museum).
